MAPIR Survey 2 Camera
The MAPIR Survey 2 series of cameras is now in South Africa and provides a cost effective, simple and high quality imaging system for a variety of survey applications. Depending on the type of survey you are looking to do, there is a MAPIR Survey 2 camera that is right for the job. All camera's have a 16MP sensor and a sharp glass lens without fish-eye distortion.
An optional static mount can be included when purchasing the camera.
This camera captures visible light in the same wavelengths as our eyes do, thus generating "regular" images. This is best for doing highly detailed aerial maps, land surveys as well as 3D volumetric surveys.
This is an all-in-one NDVI package with a dual-band sensor. It captures both red light and near-infrared (NIR) light to be able to compute NDVI from a single camera. Because this camera uses a single sensor, the resulting NDVI index will not be as accurate as when using multiple sensors, but due to the large sensor size, it will be suitable for most application.
MAPIR Near infrared
For applications that require the highest accuracy computation of indices, such as NDVI, ENDVI and SAVI, multiple camera's are needed. This camera captures reflected near-infrared light as part of the data required for these indices and is usually paired with one of the other (red, blue or green) camera's below.
This camera captures only the visible red spectrum and can be used for calculating multiple indices (such as NDVI, ENDVI and SAVI) or combined with the green and blue sensors to create a high resolution RGB reference image.
This camera captures only the visible green spectrum and can be used for calculating multiple indices (such as GNDVI and GVI) or combined with the green and blue sensors to create a high resolution RGB reference image.
This camera captures only the visible blue spectrum and can be used for calculating multiple indices, such as EVI, or combined with the green and blue sensors to create a high resolution RGB reference image.
