Endurance Drones Update! 001 February 05 2016, 0 Comments
Hello Drone Enthusiasts!
Welcome to our first newsletter, where we will keep you informed on what's happening at Endurance Drones as well as the South African Drone industry at large.
For those that have been with us for a while (from when we traded as Hout Bay Drones), we have been busy, and for those newcomers, welcome to the family! The drone industry in South Africa is still small and faces many challenges, which is why we at Endurance Drones want to work with you to grow and strengthen the South African drone community.New Web Presence:
We have been working very hard on building and maintaining our presence on the web. To this end, we've launched a new website www.endurancedrones.
So today is the day that the new legislation is meant to come into play. From our perspective, this legislation has had a huge impact on the local droneindustry and many people seem to be sitting on the fence, waiting to see what this legislation will mean in practice.
What have your experiences been with the new legislation so far? Please let us know by e-mail, FaceBook or Twitter and let's start a conversation on how to move forward in the face of the new regulations and how to make them work for us, rather than against us.
The safedrone folks have some fantastic resources relating to the new legislation. Check out their page, including some information on upcoming SACAA Workshops for RPAS Pilots throughout the country. We will be attending in Cape Town, hopefully see some of you there!Cool Stuff:
To finish, I thought I would post two quick videos that we created recently with our entry level 650 Quadcopter. It's an extremely versatile little quad that can be used for a number of applications!
Again, we would love to hear from you so please check out our website, follow us on FaceBook or Twitter and let us know your thoughts!
P.S. If you'd like to be removed from the list, just reply to this email and let us know.
